Information about the camera system according to the Personal Data Protection Act

The purpose of processing personal data: To protect the property and interests of DPMB, a.s., as protected by law, to protect the property and health of passengers and protection against vandalism.
The scope of processing and categories of personal data: Video footage from the camera system, recording the physical appearance (face and build) of passengers.
The places of processing personal data: DPMB, a.s. trams and depots
The recipients of personal data: solely the Police of the Czech Republic in the case of justified suspicion of a crime or offence having been committed or at the request of the bodies involved in criminal proceedings.
Number of cameras on trams:
- model Škoda 13T: four cameras on each tram
- model VARIO LF: 2 cameras on each carriage
- model VARIO LF2: 4 cameras on each tram
- model ANITRA: 4 cameras on each tram
- model KT8D5N: 4 cameras on each tram
- T6A5 tram set: 2 cameras in each carriage of the set
The period of time for which footage is stored and the way in which data is erased after the storage period has passed: footage is stored at DPMB, a.s., for two work days (unless handed over to the Police of the Czech Republic in the meantime). After this time, footage is automatically replaced by newly-recorded data, the oldest footage being taped over first.
Contact details for sending requests for the provision of information about processed personal data on camera systems: Passengers may contact the press spokesperson at DPMB, a.s., or the DPMB, a.s., Information Office with requests for the provision of information about the processing of their personal data using the camera systems on trams. The tram route number, identification data about the tram (the four-digit number on the body of the tram) and the date and time at which the passenger was travelling on that tram must always be stated in an application.
N.B.: in accordance with the provisions of Section 12 of Act No 101/2000 Sb. on personal data protection, as amended (the “Personal Data Protection Act”):
- applicants will not be provided with information about other persons (passengers);
- DPMB, a.s., may demand reasonable payment for the provision of information which does not exceed the cost required for the provision of information.
