Adults over 70

Persons over 70 (i.e. including their 70th birthday) can travel free of charge in Zones 100 and 101. They must present their ID card, driving licence or electronic ticket with a free coupon from the Brno iD online store.

To obtain an electronic ticket in the Brno iD online store, it is necessary to create an account, verify identity (with an ID card), upload a 3.5 × 4.5 cm up-to-date colour ID photo, pair a bank card with the account, obtain a ticket with a zero coupon and pair the ticket with the bank card. Account creation and subsequent verification of personal data is possible in all DPMB, a.s. ticket offices or online directly in the user account on Brno iD.

Person accompanying children under 3 years

In Zones 100 and 101, one person accompanying a children under 3 can travel free of charge (i.e. until the day before their third birthday). A person accompanying a child under 3 years proves their entitlement to free transport by means of an electronic ticket with a free coupon from the Brno iD online store. 

To obtain a ticket in the Brno iD online store, it is necessary to create an account, verify identity (it is necessary to present the child’s birth certificate; a photo of the child is not required), pair a bank card with the account, obtain a ticket with a zero coupon and pair it with the bank card.

Account creation and subsequent verification of personal data is possible in all DPMB, a.s. ticket offices or online directly in the user account on Brno iD.

Children under 10 years

In Zones 100 and 101, Children under 10 can travel free of charge (i.e. until the day before their tenth birthday). Children aged 6–10 years must present a document issued by a public institution containing the child’s name, surname and date of birth, an electronic ticket with a free coupon from the Brno iD online store or an IDS JMK card with a free coupon issued by the transport company – these cards are not being issued since 1 January 2022.

A ticket with a free coupon for these categories is regarded as a non-transferable travel card and cannot therefore be:

• used for free carriage of luggage, dog or bicycle in Zones 100+101
• combined with single tickets for trips outside Zones 100 and 101
