Public transport operation during Christmas and New Year
On Friday 20 December 2024, bus and trolleybus lines will run according to the timetables for school holidays, tram lines will run according to the timetables for working days.
- In addition, the morning school bus services on lines š85, š86 and š88 will be in operation, and on selected lines there will be reinforcement services.
On 23, 27 and 30 December 2024 and 2 and 3 January 2025 all public transport lines will run according to the timetables for school holidays.
In the timetables for these holiday days, please pay attention to the specific validity of the columns with the departures of the connections.
On Christmas Eve 24 December 2024, public transport lines will follow timetables for Saturdays and Sundays approximately till 15:00. After that, daytime lines will gradually cease to operate and service will be provided by nighttime buses with connections at Hlavní nádraží at 17:00 – 17:30 – 18:00 – 19:00 – 20:00 – 21:00 – 21:30 – 22:00 – 22:30 – 23:00 and further according to common timetables.
• Line 78 will not serve the stops Modřice, Decathlon and Modřice, XXXLutz.
On 25 & 26 December 2024 and 1 January 2025, public transport lines will follow timetables for Saturdays and Sundays.
Due to the closure of shopping centres, part of the connections of line x4 normally terminating at NC Královo Pole will be terminated at Náměstí Míru and line 78 will not serve the stops Modřice, Decathlon and Modřice, XXXLutz.
In view of the expected lower demand for transport, the following reinforcement connections will not be provided:
• departures of line N89 at 4:28 and 4:58 on the route Hlavní nádraží – Areál Slatina
• departures of line N94 at 5:28 on the route Hlavní nádraží – Horní Heršpice and at 6:06 on the route Horní Heršpice – Hlavní nádraží
• departures of line N99 at 5:05, 5:35, 6:05 and 6:35 on the route Čejkovická – Hlavní nádraží
On New Year's Eve 31 December 2024, public transport lines will follow timetables for Saturdays approximately till 20:00. After that, daytime lines will gradually cease to operate and service will be provided by nighttime buses with connections at Hlavní nádraží at 21:00 – 21:30 – 22:00 – 22:30 – 23:00 and further according to common timetables.
In addition, nighttime bus lines will be reinforced by extraordinary connections of lines 1, 7, 8, 10, 12, 33 and N99 (departing from Hlavní nádraží at 21:15 – 21:45 – 22:15 – 22:45 – 23:15 – 23:45 – 0:25 – 0:55 – 1:55 – 2:55) on following routes:
• Line 1 on its standard route.
• Line 7 on the route Starý Lískovec, smyčka – Lesná, Čertova rokle (in the section Malinovského náměstí – Jugoslávská diverted via Milady Horákové Street).
• Line 8 on the route Líšeň, Mifkova – Hlavní nádraží.
• Line 10 on the route Hlavní nádraží – Vozovna Komín (in the section Hlavní nádraží – Česká diverted via Husova Street).
• Line 12 on its standard route.
• Line 33 on its standard route.
• Reinforcement connections of line N99 in the section Pálavské náměstí – Hlavní nádraží.

Transport changes from 15 Decemeber 2024
From Sunday 15 December 2024, the timetables on selected trolleybus and bus lines will be changed in connection with the end of some of the traffic restrictions and the national timetable change.
Termination of the traffic disruption on Tomkovo náměstí
Line 25 will run on the route Starý Lískovec, Osová – Nemocnice Bohunice – Tomkovo náměstí – Pálavské náměstí.
• Selected connections will be extended to the Líšeň, Jírova stop in the morning hours on weekdays.
Line 26 will continue to run on the current route Nový Lískovec, Kamenný vrch – Štefánikova čtvrt'.
Line 27 will continue to run on the current route Židenice, Stará osada – Líšeň, Jírova.
Line 57 will run on the route (Vranov, smyčka –) Útěchov – Lesná, Haškova – Tomkovo náměstí – Maloměřický most (– Obřany, sídliště).
• The termination at Maloměřický most will be realized via circular route Tomkovo náměstí » Maloměřický most (stop of line 75 in Selská Street) » Karlova » Tomkovo náměstí.
• Selected connections in the morning hours on weekdays will continue from the Maloměřický most stop to the Obřany, sídliště stop.
• Selected connections throughout the day will terminate at the Štefánikova čtvrt' stop via circular route through Generála Píky Avenue and Provazníkova and Merhautová Streets.
• The line will no longer serve the Vinohrady district, the connection will be provided by lines 25 and 72.
Line 72 will run on the route Technologický park – Královo Pole, nádraží (– Poliklinika Lesná – Areál Slatina).
• Selected connections in the morning and afternoon will be newly extended to the Areál Slatina stop. On the new route the stops Akátky, Vlčnovská, Prušánecká, Mikulovská, Růženin dvůr, Bílá hora, Podstránská, Černovičky, Vlárská, Ericha Roučka, Černovická terasa I, Černovická terasa II and Areál Slatina will be served.
• The stops Štefánikova čtvrt', Merhautova, Tomkovo náměstí and Akátky will be served only in the direction to Slatina, in the opposite direction the line will go from the stop Vlčnovská directly to the stop Lesná, nádraží.
• The line will no longer serve the Obřany district, the connection will be provided by lines 57 and 75.

Line N94 will return to its original route via the Karlova Street.
Termination of the traffic disrupiton in Modřice
As of 13 December 2024, the closure on lines 49 and N94 in Masarykova Street in Modřice will be terminated. Both lines will return to their original routes.
Service termination of the line 51
The service of Line 51 will be terminated on 15 December 2024.
• In the section Zoologická zahrada – Nemocnice Bohunice it will be possible to use the newly established regional line 161.
• In the section Nemocnice Bohunice – Ústřední hřbitov it will be possible to use the newly established regional line 502.
Change in the operation of night lines
Operation on selected night lines will be limited to the territory of Brno only.
Line N89 will operate on the route Kníničky, U Luhu – Letiště Tuřany - terminál / Dvorska, smyčka.
• The extension of selected connections to Kobylnice and Prace will be cancelled; these connections will be shortened to the Dvorska, smyčka stop. Regular connections of line 48 will be available as a substitute.
• Selected connections will follow the route of line 77 in the section Areál Slatina – Letiště - logistický areál via the stops Airport Park and CTPark Brno South.
Line N95 will operate on the route Nový Lískovec, Kamenný vrch – Chrlice, smyčka (– Tuřany, Tovární).
• The extension of selected connections to Sokolnice, Telnice, Žatčany and Újezd u Brna will be cancelled. Regular connections of line 74 will be available as a substitute.
• Also the diversion route will be modified in the section from the Tvrdého stop to Hlavní nádraží. The line in this direction will run along the route Tvrdého » Nemocnice u sv. Anny » Šilingrovo náměstí » Česká » Malinovského náměstí » Hlavní nádraží.
Line N96 will operate on the route Bosonohy – Šlapanice, Kalvodova.
• The extended connection to Bedřichovice and Podolí will be cancelled.
• In connection with the completion of the reconstruction of the Hviezdoslavova × Holzova × Bedřichovická roundabout, service to the Slatina, rozcestí stop will be restored in the direction of Šlapanice.
Change of traffic organisation in the area of Brno Airport and CTPark Brno South
Selected connections of line E76 will no longer serve the CTPark Brno South stop.
• As a substitute, this stop will be served by selected connections of line 77, which will run on the route Úzká – Areál Slatina – Airport Park – CTPark Brno South – Letiště - logistický areál » Letiště - služební vstup » Letiště Tuřany - terminál.
Further stop changes
The Kejbaly stop will be renamed in connection with the renaming of the part of Kejbaly Street adjacent to Kamenice Street.
• The stop of line 69 in Kamenice street will will be newly named Mýtná.
• The one-way stop of lines 40 and N90 in Jihlavská Street will be newly named Uzbecká (it will be added to the Uzbecká stop of lines 69 and N91).
The stop of line 67 Electroworld will be newly named Skandinávská.
New timetables will be available in the section Timetables.
Christmas tram
From Saturday 23 November 2024 to Monday 23 December 2024 always from 13:00 to 20:30, traditional Christmas tram operates.
The tram operates each 30 minutes on circular route through the city centre: Česká (platform 6) – Malinovského náměstí – Hlavní nádraží (track 1) – Hlavní nádraží (platform 8) – Zelný trh – Náměstí Svobody – Česká (platform 1) – Šilingrovo náměstí – Nové sady – Hlavní nádraží (platform 8) – Zelný trh – Náměstí Svobody – Česká (platform 6).
In the Christmas tram, regular IDS JMK tariff applies.

Christmas market on náměstí Svobody
Due to the Christmas market, tram transport on náměstí Svobody will be interrupted from Friday 22 November 2024 till Monday 23 December 2024, every day from 13:00 to 20:30.
Tram line 4 between the stops Česká and Hlavní nádraží will be diverted through Husova street in this direction.
• The stops Česká, Náměstí Svobody and Zelný trh will be omitted.
• On the diversion route, the stops Šilingrovo náměstí and Nové sady will be served.
• The stop Česká will be served at the Joštova street together with lines 5 and 6 towards Mendlovo náměstí.
Tram line 9 between the stops Moravské náměstí and Hlavní nádraží will be diverted through Rooseveltova street in both directions.
• The stops Česká, Náměstí Svobody and Zelný trh will be omitted.
• On the diversion route, the stop Malinovského náměstí will be served.
• The stop Hlavní nádraží will be served at tracks 5/6 (together with lines 10 and 67).
From Saturday 25 November 2023, a special Christmas tram will operate via náměstí Svobody within the time frames specified in a separated information.

Údolní street reconstruction
Due to the reconstruction of utilities, tram lines and the road surface, the Údolní street between the intersection with Husova street and the intersection with Bratří Čapků street is completely closed.
Tram line 4 runs on the semicircular route Babická – Maloměřický most – Malinovského náměstí – Česká – Náměstí Svobody – Hlavní nádraží – Malinovského náměstí – Maloměřický most – Babická.
• The stops Česká, Náměstí Svobody, Zelný trh and Hlavní nádraží are served in one direction only. The stop Česká is served on platform 5 (together with line 9 in front of St. Thomas Church).
Replacement transport is provided by bus line x4 on the route Česká – Náměstí Míru – Tábor – Nákupní centrum Královo Pole.
• The stop Česká is served at the stop of line 12 in the direction Hlavní nádraží. In the direction from Česká the buses divert through Husova, Pekařská, Úvoz and Grohova streets. The buses skip the stops Komenského náměstí and Obilní trh and serve the stop Šilingrovo náměstí (stops of lines 5 and 6 in the direction of Mendlovo náměstí), Nemocnice u sv. Anny, Sladová (at the Úvoz × Sladová intersection), Tvrdého and Úvoz (stop of lines 25 and 26 in the direction of Konečného náměstí) stops on the diversion route. The stop Všetičkova is relocated behind the Grohova × Údolní intersection. Furthermore, line x4 serves the stop Náměstí Míru (stop of line N89) and continues along the route of line 68 via the Kounicovy koleje, Tábor (relocated to Tábor Street), Klusáčkova (relocated to Tábor Street), Štefánikova and then via the stop Reissigova to the stop Nákupní centrum Královo Pole.
• In the direction of Česká, buses run from the stop Nákupní centrum Královo Pole via the stops Reissigova and Štefánikova to the stop Klusáčkova of line 68, then along the route of line 68 via the stops Tábor, Kounicovy koleje and Tichého to the stop Náměstí Míru (in a loop), then serving the stops Heinrichova and Všetičkova of line 4 and then continuing on a diversion through Bratří Čapků, Gorkého, Grohová and Veveří streets. They thus skip the stops Obilní trh and Komenského náměstí, and on the diversion route they serve the stop Úvoz (stop of lines 25 and 26 in the direction of Konečného náměstí), Grohova (in Grohova Street before the intersection with Veveří Street) and Česká (stop of line 12 in the direction of Hlavní nádraží) stops.
• Part of the connections of line x4 only runs in the section Česká – Náměstí Míru.
Trolleybus lines 38 and 39 in the direction to the centre run from the stop Úvoz (stop of lines 25 and 26 in the direction of Konečného náměstí) via Grohova and Veveří streets and terminate at the stop Česká.
• They thus skip the stops Obilní trh and Komenského náměstí and serve the stops Grohova (in Grohova Street before the intersection with Veveří Street) and Česká (stop of line 80 at the park) stops on the diversion route.
Trolleybus lines 38 and 39 in the direction to Masarykova čtvrť run from the stop Česká (line 80 stop by the park) along Kounicova Street, through Konečného náměstí and Úvoz.
• They thus skip the stops Komenského náměstí and Obilní trh, and on the diversion route they serve the stops Česká (line 80 stop at the park), Smetanova, Sušilova, Konečného náměstí, Čápkova and Úvoz (line 25 and 26 stop towards Mendlovo náměstí).
Selected connections of line 38 run from the stop Úvoz (stop of lines 25 and 26 in the direction of Konečného náměstí) through the stops Čápkova and Nerudova to the stop Konečného náměstí (stop of lines 25 and 26 in the direction of Mendlovo náměstí), from where they continue back in the direction of Preslova.
Bus line 68 operates only in the section Myslivna – Náměstí Míru. In the remaining part of the route, it is replaced by the shutdown bus line x4.
• The stops Šumavská and Šelepova are not be served by line x4 or line 68. On the other hand, the stop Štefánikova is served in both directions.
Bus line 80 in the direction to Špilberk runs in the section Česká – Úvoz on the same route as lines 38 and 39.
• It thus skip the stop Komenského náměstí, and on the diverted route it serves the stops Konečného náměstí and Úvoz (stop of lines 25 and 26 in the direction of Mendlovo náměstí).
Bus line 80 in the direction to Česká runs in the section Úvoz – Česká on the same route as lines 38 and 39.
• It thus skips the stop Komenského náměstí, and on the diverted route it serves the stops Úvoz (stop of lines 25 and 26 in the direction of Konečného náměstí) and Grohova (in Grohova Street before the intersection with Veveří Street).
The night bus line N89 in the direction from the main railway station runs in the section Šilingrovo náměstí – Všetičkova via Pekařská, Úvoz and Gorkého streets.
• It skips the stops Komenského náměstí and Obilní trh. It serves the stop Šilingrovo náměstí in Pekařská Street (stop of lines 5 and 6 in the direction of Mendlovo náměstí) and on the diversion route it also serves the stops Nemocnice u sv. Anny, Sladová (at the Úvoz × Sladová intersection), Tvrdého and Úvoz (stop of lines 25 and 26 in the direction of Konečného náměstí). The stop Všetičkova is relocated behind the Grohova × Údolní intersection.

• It skips the stops Komenského náměstí and Obilní trh. It serves the stop Šilingrovo náměstí in Pekařská Street (stop of lines 5 and 6 in the direction of Mendlovo náměstí) and on the diversion route it also serves the stops Nemocnice u sv. Anny, Sladová (at the Úvoz × Sladová intersection) and Tvrdého.
The night bus line N95 in the direction to the main railway station runs in the section Tvrdého – Šilingrovo náměstí via Úvoz, Gorkého, Grohová and Veveří streets.
• It thus skips the stops Obilní trh and Komenského náměstí and on the diversion route it serves the stops Úvoz (stop of lines 25 and 26 in the direction of Konečného náměstí), Grohova (in Grohova Street before the intersection with Veveří Street) and Česká (stop of line 12 in the direction of Hlavní nádraží).
Connections of night lines N89 and N95 going to the connection at the main station at 23:00, 23:30 and 0:00 on Saturday 31 August 2024 in the evening will already be running on the closure route!
The stops Komenského náměstí and Obilní trh cannot be served during the closure. Similarly, it is not possible to serve the stops Úvoz in Údolní street; all lines affected by the closure serve the stops Úvoz of lines 25 and 26.

Temporary relocation of the stop Křídlovická
Due to the construction works, the stop Křídlovická is relocated from 6:00 on Monday 18 April 2022 till the works are finished:
• for line 44 approximately 120 metres forward (past the intersection with Nové sady street)
• for line 84 approximately 40 metres forward (past the intersection with Náplavka street)
• UPDATE: the stop of line 84 has been returned to its original position on Monday 13 June 2022 at 10:30

UPDATE 20:34: Traffic released, lines 1, 3, 30, 302 continue with up to 15-20 minutes delay.
An alternative bus will depart from the stop ARENA BRNO as line 1
Line 30 runs via Kníničská Street. It skips the stop. Kamenolom and Podlesí.

Due to a vehicle breakdown it is not possible to provide the connection of line 37 with departure at 16:35 from Mendlova nám and the connection at 17:18 from Nemocnice Bohunice.

UPDATE 16:27: Traffic released, line 9 continues with up to 10-15 minutes delay.
Due to a fault on the switch, line 9 in the direction to the centre is running with an extraordinary diversion via Cejl Street. It skips stops in the section Jugoslávská - Malinovského nám.
