Transport Changes
Tram service suspension at náměstí Svobody
Due to the completion of pavement repairs and the installation of retractable bollards to prevent vehicles from entering the city center, tram service on Masarykova Street will not be possible from Monday, May 18, 2026, until the work is completed (expected by the end of June 2026), which will require comprehensive changes to tram routes in the city center.
Tram line 4 will operate only on the route Náměstí Míru – Náměstí Svobody.
Tram line 9 will run on the section Česká – Hlavní nádraží in both directions via Šilingrovo náměstí and Nové sady.
• The Náměstí Svobody and Zelný trh stops will not be served.
• The Česká stop will be served on Joštova Street (platforms 1 and 2).
• At the Hlavní nádraží stop, the platforms 3 and 4 will be served (together with lines 8 and 10).
Tram line 10 will run on the section Česká – Hlavní nádraží in both directions via Šilingrovo náměstí and Nové sady.
• The Malinovského náměstí stop will not be served.
• The Česká stop will be served on Česká Street (platforms 3 and 4).
• At the Hlavní nádraží stop, the platforms 3 and 4 will be served (together with lines 8 and 9).
Tram line 12 will run on the section Česká – Hlavní nádraží in both directions via Malinovského náměstí.
• The Šilingrovo náměstí and Nové sady stops will not be served.
• The Česká stop will be served on Česká Street (platforms 3 and 4).
• At the Hlavní nádraží stop, the platforms 5 and 6 (near the trolleybus loop) will be served.
Replacement service for line 4 will be provided by temporary tram line 14, running on the route Náměstí Míru – (following the route of Line 4) – Komenského náměstí – Šilingrovo náměstí – Nové sady – Hlavní nádraží (platforms 1 and 2) – Malinovského náměstí – (following the original route and stops of Line 4) – Obřany, Babická.
• Selected services on weekdays will operate only on the section Malinovského náměstí – Obřany, Babická.

Temporary service change on lines 66 and 72
UPDATE: Based on the latest information from the contractor, the service suspension will end early on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. Starting Thursday, July 16, 2026, the shortened service on Line 72 will resume its regular route from Technologický park to Poliklinika Lesná, without stopping at the Lesná, nádraží stop. Line 66 (out of service during summer holidays) will return to its regular route.
UPDATE: Starting June 8, 2026, further changes will be implemented on Line 66, which will operate in the direction from Haškova only on the section Haškova – Heleny Malířové – Lesná, nádraží.
Due to construction work and changes to traffic patterns at the intersection of Okružní and Seifertova streets, there will be changes to bus routes 66 and 72 from May 4, 2026, until the work is completed (expected by early August 2026).
Bus line 66 towards Haškova will run in the section between Poliklinika Lesná and Heleny Malířové stops via a detour through Merhautova and Kohoutova streets.
• In addition, the Lesná, nádraží stop will be served (stop for lines 44, 46, 57, and 72 towards Lesná).
• In the opposite direction, the line will operate only between Haškova – Heleny Malířové, and will then be rerouted via Merhautova and Kohoutova streets to the Lesná, nádraží stop (stop for lines 44, 46, 57, and 72 towards Lesná), from where it will continue as line 57 towards Haškova.
Bus line 72, which normally runs between Technologický park and Poliklinika Lesná, will be extended to the Lesná, nádraží stop.
UPDATE 13. 7.: The Lesná, Nádraží, and Heleny Malířové stops have been returned to their normal locations.
The Lesná, nádraží stop (served by lines 44, 46, 57, and 72 towards Lesná) and the Heleny Malířové stop (served by lines 46 and 66 towards Štefánikova čtvrť / Haškova) will be moved back approximately 50 and 30 meters, respectively.

Diversion on line E56 towards Nemocnice Bohunice
Due to the complete closure of the overpass, the ramp from Bauerova Street (in the direction from the intersection with Hlinky Street) to the Pisárky Tunnel will be closed from Monday, April 27, 2026, until the work is completed (expected by the end of June 2026).
Bus line E56 towards Nemocnice Bohunice will be rerouted via Pisárecká and Rybnická Streets.
• The Pisárky stop won't be served.
• On the diverted route the Anthropos stop will be served instead.
• In the direction of Královo Pole, line E56 will follow its regular route through the Pisárky Tunnel.

Traffic restriction in Jihlavská Street – 1st phase
UPDATE: On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at approximately 9:45 a.m., the Stará nemocnice stop for lines 40 and N90 in the direction from the city center will be moved back to its regular position.
Due to the construction works, from Monday 30 June 2025 until the completion of the works (expected by 20 May 2026) the traffic in Jihlavská Street between the intersections with Netroufalky and Dlouhá Streets will be restricted.
Trolleybus line 25 will operate only in the section Nemocnice Bohunice – Líšeň, Jírova.
• For the section Osová – Nemocnice Bohunice it will be possible to use regular bus and tram lines.
The Stará nemocnice stop of lines 40 and N90 in the direction from the centre will be relocated to a temporary platform in the central dividing strip at the level of the regular stop.
